Estimating Maximum and Minimum Frequencies for Pulsed Doppler Signals Wang Yuanyuan, Chen Sizhong, Wu Xiaofeng, Wang Weiqi Abstract The percentile method is a typical one to estimate maximum and minimum frequencies for pulsed Doppler signals. Since this method can not lead to high estimation accuracy for both maximum and minimum frequencies, two new methods, the modified percentile method and three lines fitting method, are presented in this paper. From the comparison experiments of estimating simulated pulsed Doppler signals with various signal to noise rations, it is found that the modified percentile method and three lines fitting method have high estimation accuracy for both maximum and minimum frequencies, and the three lines fitting method has the best estimation performance.
